At least two people were killed in a reported mid-air collision near Boulder Municipal Airport in Boulder County, Colorado on Saturday, federal officials said.
A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed at least two people had been killed, but had no information on what happened. “Two people are confirmed dead,” Mike Fergus said.
Local media in Denver reported that two aircraft collided in mid-air. The Denver Post said authorities were rushing to at least three different scenes where wreckage was found.
There was no immediate word on what type of aircraft were involved, but both aircraft are thought to be small.
