Hyundai will soon launch the new Verna in the Indian car market and it will be launched on 11th May 2011. The new Verna has been built on an all new platform which is internally coded as the RB by the Korean manufacturer. This sedan gets the new Hyundai signature grille which is there even in the recently facelifted Hyundai i10.
Hyundai started work on the new Verna from a blank drawing board and it doesn’t have any similarities with the outgoing model. Now, the Verna will be available with two petrol and two diesel options. The petrol will be 1.4-litre, 106bhp and 1.6-litre, 122bhp and the diesels will be 1.4-litre, 90bhp and 1.6-litre, 126bhp. The petrol’s get the new Hyundai Gamma-engines, while diesel gets a new 1.6-litre motor. The 1.4-litre diesel is the same oil burner which even propels the i20.
